Frequently asked questions

JustGotMine is a verified-purchase UGC engine that invites your customers to upload a quick photo or video of their order after checkout. When they do, they get a chance to earn store credit — up to the value of their order — only if their snapshot helps drive a sale.
A snapshot is a quick photo or video a customer uploads to show the product they purchased in real life. It's simple, authentic UGC tied directly to a verified order — no influencers, no staging, no AI.
Each snapshot contains photos and/or videos (up to five) of the customer's actual product, a caption written by the customer, the product and store it relates to (automatically linked), a unique coupon that other shoppers can use, and timestamp and lifecycle status. Everything else stays private. Snapshots are designed to be authentic but anonymous, giving you real social proof without compromising customer privacy.
JGM is designed so coupon crawlers, browser extensions, and deal-scraping sites cannot steal or auto-apply your discounts. Every snapshot coupon is single-use, time-limited, generated per snapshot, bound to a specific product, and created natively inside your store.

Because coupons are created individually and expire quickly, there is nothing for crawlers to index or scrape. While a snapshot coupon is valid for say 30 days (or whatever you set in your dashboard), the actual coupon code generated by the snapshot is temporary (2 hours) to prevent coupon scraping. If a shopper's temporary coupon expires while they're browsing, they can simply generate a fresh one from the same snapshot.

This architecture makes JGM coupons effectively useless to coupon sites and browser extensions — they cannot harvest, reuse, or mass-apply them.
Customers upload a snapshot of their purchase. The snapshot gets moderated for safety and quality and, if approved, it is published along with a discount code on justgotmine.com. If another shopper uses their snapshot discount code to buy the same product, the original customer earns store credit equal to the discount applied. Credit is always capped at the original order value.
No. JGM is designed to protect your margins at every step. All rewards are issued as store credit, never cash, and are strictly capped at the original order value. You only give credit when a snapshot actually drives a sale — never before.

When a new customer (C2) uses a snapshot coupon, two things happen: C2 receives a discount (for example, 10%), and the same amount is set aside as potential store credit for the original customer (C1). That's it.

Because C1's credit is capped at their original order value, viral snapshots often hit the cap early. After that point, the snapshot continues driving sales, but no additional credit is issued.

The result is a margin-safe system where you only pay for performance — and never more than the value of the original order.
Yes. JGM uses standard discount codes and store credit mechanics. There are no cash payouts, no referral loopholes, and no prohibited incentives. Everything is compliant with Shopify's or WooCommerce's promotion and discount rules.
Every snapshot is tied to a real order, and every coupon is single-use, time-limited, and automatically moderated. Customers cannot earn more than their original order value, and they cannot generate unlimited discounts.
No. All snapshots are approved by JGM systems. If a public snapshot is not appropriate, you can set a flag inside your dashboard for our staff team to review and eliminate.
Approved snapshots appear on justgotmine.com and your product pages or main page via JGM widgets. You control what appears on your store.
Then you pay nothing. The customer only earns credit when their snapshot directly contributes to a sale. No performance, no payout.
Yes. Customers can earn their order back, use the store credit to shop again, and then repeat the cycle with new snapshots. This loop is intentional: each snapshot can only earn up to its original order value, but the revenue generated from those snapshots consistently outweighs the cost of the credit issued.
All JGM coupons expire automatically. This keeps the system fresh, prevents stale discounts, and gives new customers a chance to earn their order back.
Yes. In fact, products without snapshots become more attractive to customers because they have a higher chance of earning their order back — creating catalog-wide coverage.
You only pay when a JGM coupon is applied at checkout. The fee is 1% (or $0.10 minimum) per order line where a JGM discount was used. If JGM doesn't drive a sale, you pay nothing.
Yes. Only the snapshot, coupon, and store link are public. No personal information is ever shared or exposed.
If an order is refunded, the corresponding JGM credit is automatically canceled. This prevents customers from earning store credit on products they didn't keep and ensures the system cannot be exploited. Only snapshots tied to completed, non-refunded orders remain eligible to earn credit.
If an order is partially refunded, the customer's potential credit is automatically reduced to match the final order value. This prevents customers from earning credit on items they returned and ensures rewards always reflect real, completed revenue. No loopholes, no over-crediting.
Customers always receive store credit, never cash. This protects your margins, keeps the incentive compliant with platform rules, and brings customers back to shop again. Merchants may choose to issue cash refunds manually for special promotions, but JGM itself only issues store credit.
JGM automatically creates the discount coupons your customers use when redeeming a snapshot. These coupons are generated inside your store, using your platform's native discount system. When a coupon expires, is used, or becomes invalid due to a refund, JGM automatically cleans it up to keep your store organized and prevent clutter. You never have to manually manage or delete JGM coupons — they follow a complete lifecycle that JGM maintains for you.
Yes. Every coupon JGM creates is a native Shopify or WooCommerce discount code generated directly inside your store. JGM simply facilitates the creation and lifecycle management. You can find every coupon in your store's discount section, and it will match exactly with what you see in your JGM dashboard. There are no external systems, no off-platform codes, and no hidden mechanics — everything lives inside your store and remains fully under your control.
Soft Offboarding is a safe way to pause the system without breaking the customer experience. When enabled, JGM stops issuing new snapshot invites, but customers who already received an invite can still submit their snapshot, and existing snapshots can continue earning credit. All moderation, coupon creation, and lifecycle rules remain active so you can fulfill the commitments already made to customers.

Using Soft Offboarding is highly recommended to prevent data gaps, miscalculations, or abrupt customer interruptions.
