A snapshot is a quick photo or video a customer uploads to show the product they purchased in real life. It's simple, authentic UGC tied directly to a verified order — no influencers, no staging, no AI.

Each snapshot contains photos and/or videos (up to five) of the customer's actual product, a caption written by the customer, the product and store it relates to (automatically linked), a unique coupon that other shoppers can use, and timestamp and lifecycle status. Everything else stays private. Snapshots are designed to be authentic but anonymous, giving you real social proof without compromising customer privacy.

JGM is designed so coupon crawlers, browser extensions, and deal-scraping sites cannot steal or auto-apply your discounts. Every snapshot coupon is single-use, time-limited, generated per snapshot, bound to a specific product, and created natively inside your store.

Because coupons are created individually and expire quickly, there is nothing for crawlers to index or scrape. While a snapshot coupon is valid for say 30 days (or whatever you set in your dashboard), the actual coupon code generated by the snapshot is temporary (2 hours) to prevent coupon scraping. If a shopper's temporary coupon expires while they're browsing, they can simply generate a fresh one from the same snapshot.

This architecture makes JGM coupons effectively useless to coupon sites and browser extensions — they cannot harvest, reuse, or mass-apply them.

Customers upload a snapshot of their purchase. The snapshot gets moderated for safety and quality and, if approved, it is published along with a discount code on justgotmine.com. If another shopper uses their snapshot discount code to buy the same product, the original customer earns store credit equal to the discount applied. Credit is always capped at the original order value.

No. JGM is designed to protect your margins at every step. All rewards are issued as store credit, never cash, and are strictly capped at the original order value. You only give credit when a snapshot actually drives a sale — never before.

When a new customer (C2) uses a snapshot coupon, two things happen: C2 receives a discount (for example, 10%), and the same amount is set aside as potential store credit for the original customer (C1). That's it.

Because C1's credit is capped at their original order value, viral snapshots often hit the cap early. After that point, the snapshot continues driving sales, but no additional credit is issued.

Soft Offboarding is a safe way to pause the system without breaking the customer experience. When enabled, JGM stops issuing new snapshot invites, but customers who already received an invite can still submit their snapshot, and existing snapshots can continue earning credit. All moderation, coupon creation, and lifecycle rules remain active so you can fulfill the commitments already made to customers.

Using Soft Offboarding is highly recommended to prevent data gaps, miscalculations, or abrupt customer interruptions.
